Stacey Gagnon
National Speaker
Executive Director of RETA
Stacey firmly believes that the right to life extends beyond the womb. Seeing the need to lower infant mortality rates, build stronger brains at the point of conception, and improve the overall physical and mental health of Elkhart’s and Saint Joseph’s County children, Stacey is dedicated to RETA’s mission. Stacey is a passionate advocate for children in the areas of special needs, adoption, and foster care. She has a degree in education and spent seven years in the classroom. Stacey is also a licensed RN and has mostly worked in public health and pediatric mental health.
Stacey is the creator of Trauma Lens Care where she provides training on trauma, substance abuse, and ACEs in schools, jails, and public forums. Embodying her beliefs, Stacey and her husband, Darren, are the parents of seven children, five of whom are adopted. They have also fostered for over 12 years. Their critical work has resulted in the co-founding of Lost Sparrows, Inc., a 501(c)(3) with the goal of ending the flow of children into orphanages in Eastern Europe. Lost Sparrows provides education and training to social service officials, government administration, and caregivers working with children in orphanages and foster care. A blogger, children’s book author, and international speaker, Stacey brings an informed voice to raise awareness, provide support for children in crisis, and train those in charge with their care.
